We can be hard on ourselves when we know what we need to do, yet still don't seem to do it. We tell ourselves we need more discipline, motivation or willpower, when often the real reason is something else.
We may not be clear on what we actually want, our goals may not align with the way we're currently living, or we may be trying to change too much at once without a realistic plan.
When we understand what's really getting in the way, we can stop judging ourselves for being “stuck” and start making changes that are more intentional, realistic and sustainable.
When we don't know what we want, our attention gets pulled in multiple directions. Getting clear on what matters helps us focus our energy on what is actually important, rather than constantly reacting to everything around us.
It’s easy to jump straight into doing (making lists, setting goals, changing routines), but action without clarity can leave us busy without actually moving forward. Taking time to define what you want and why it matters gives your actions a clearer purpose.
You don't need to know exactly where you're going before you begin. Sometimes clarity comes through taking a small step, noticing what happens, and adjusting from there. The aim isn't certainty; it's having enough direction to know what to do next.
